While attending Pratt Institute for drawing and painting Chris began assisting film student Jay Dubin, who was producing and directing TV commercials. Chris quickly became Dubins cameraman on every film and video shoot. The very first Crazy Eddie TV commercial "Bathroom Song" was filmed in the mens room at Pratts main building in its Bed-Stuy campus.

Crazy Eddies electronics store chain was located in the New York Tri-State Area. Started in the 1970s, by businessman Eddie Antar, the original name of the store was Sights & Sounds, located at 1117 Kings Highway, Brooklyn. Radio commercials were a "live read", stating "Sights and Sounds, where Crazy Eddie the wildman of audio gives you the most insane prices...." Soon WPIX-FM Radio disc jockey "Doctor Jerry" created a persona and became Crazy Eddies legendary spokesman. Dr. Jerry delivered his lines rapid-fire squeezing 45 seconds of copy into a 30 second spot, proclaiming in a screaming voice that "Crazy Eddie will beat any price you find", ending every sales pitch with "Crazy Eddie - His Prices Are Inn-saaaane!".

Chris shot hundreds of TV spots with Jay and Jerry, whose hyperactive spokesman became so identified with Crazy Eddie that many viewers assumed he was the owner of the company. In 1977 when “Saturday Night Fever” hit theaters Jay Dubin dreamed up the “Crazy Eddie Disco Fever” spot. When Christopher Reeve made his appearance as "Superman" in 1978 the “Super-Eddie” spot was born. After several years CE had over 40 stores.
