Chris Balton displays a wide range of directorial experience in both film and video with his interesting, innovate style. Bringing over 30 years of directing experience for fortune 500 corporations, TV advertising, and broadcast entertainment clients, Chris believes listening is the most important part of his job, hearing what clients have to say, doing what they ask, while remaining flexible and accountable from start to finish.

With a strong artistic background, having studied painting at Pratt Institute School of Art & Design, Chris gained extensive experience in his early 20’s as a cameraman for ABC Evening News in the Middle East with Peter Jennings, in New York with Barbara Walters, and on assignment in Central America with Geraldo Rivera. In 1979 Chris became a director of photography, shooting hundreds of television commercials in New York City at Unitel, National Video and MTI, as well lensing several low-budget features. Always seeking a new challenge, he turned to shooting music videos for Atlantic Records Ted Nugent, Carly Simon, Donna Summer, and Al Green to name a few.

While creating programming for the Jumbotron screen high above Times Square Chris developed a strong relationship with SONY Electronics. Always eager to try new ideas he was an early adopter of Avid non-linear editing in the nineteen-nineties on commercial and corporate video projects. As a producer / editor with a keen understanding of all phases of television production, digital compositing and non-linear editing Chris keeps his clients projects on-schedule and under budget.

A consummate communications professional Chris’ expertise has won critical acclaim with numerous awards, including two Emmy Awards, and several Gold and Silver awards in the International Film and Television Festival of New York. Chris has built an enviable reputation by delivering an outstanding product at an exceptional value.
